Ferre, Jr., and Kearns and Bert Ferre, formed a fish-ihg fish-ihg party that went to Fish Lake the opening day. Mrs. Cora Clark, the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt for several days, has returned to her home at McGill, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christiansen returned re-turned Monday from the two-day celebration cele-bration at Manti. They report a big attendance and a splendid time. Mrs. Edward Childs, who has been the guest of friends and relatives at Ephraim for the past ten days, has returned re-turned to her home in Gunnison. Ralph Jensen left for Henry, Idaho, Monday morning. He expects to be absent about a month and will assist his father in a sheep shearing contract. Dr. J. A. Hagan, Ira Overfelt, Julius Duggins, Ransom Overfelt, L. Ludvig-son Ludvig-son and Harry Roylance, all desciples of Issac Walton, formed a fishing party that went to Lost Creek Reservoir. Dont forget the ball Game at the Gunnison park tomorow afternoon. Salina, who met defeat at the hands of the Kings last Saturday, will play here again. The visitors will go into the game with a determination not to have history repeated and the game will be a good one. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Halverson have returned from a trip to Provo. They were combining business with pleasure for several days. Miss Laura Ferre left for Salt Lake last Tuesday morning. She will be absent a three weeks or more visiting with relatives and friends. Miss Beulah Thurgood, of Provo, is the house guest of Miss Theresa Duggins. Miss Thurgood will be here for a week or ten days. J. W. Edwards, a former resident of Gnnnison and who is now located at Escondido, Calf., is spending several days here attending to important business matters. One of the remardable discoveries of the last few years, says the Northwest Mintng Truth, is that when wages go up, efficiency cames down, while when wages come down.it goes up in a greater great-er ratio. Misses Vio and Lucile Sorenson, instructors in-structors in the High Schools at Salt Lake. during the past school year, returned re-turned to Gunnison last Saturday evening. even-ing. The Misses Sorenson will spend the summer vacation in Gunnison. J. F. Wagner, for several months past master mechanic at the Gunnison Valley Sugar factory, left for his home at Santa Anna, Calif., last Saturday morning. Mr. Wagner will be assciated with one of the large factories on the coast. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hunter of Twin Falls, Idaho, are arrivals in the valley. Mr. Hunter is highly impressed with the future possibilities of the Gunnison Valley and will more than likely buy a farm and locate here permanently. |
