He wants to buy a home, but the builders inform him that they cannot can-not get men such as carpenters, painters, brick-layers, plumbers, etc.. at less than $10 a day for supposedly supposed-ly eight hours' work. Common shov- elers for $6.50 per day. He says if you want to build a five or six-room house you must put up from five to six thousand dollars where three thousand should be sufficient suf-ficient to build that size house.
