Show MINING QUIET. The Stormy Weather Cages the Miner and Houses the Prospector. The cold, stormy weather of this week has had a deteriorating de-teriorating influence on our mines and mining interests. Prospectors have been kept housed up shivering over spring fires, not having ambition and courage to venture out to climb our rugged mountains in the face of pelting rains and blinding snow. The miners, too, are curled up in their holes and consequently we have a rather meager supply of encourag- ' ing mining intelligence to furnish our readers this issue. But the mines and the bodies of ore arc right there and storms cannot wash them away. |
