President of the First ward Relief Society, was the recipient of a genuine birthday birth-day surprise last Saturday. It was her sixty-firstbirthday. The affair look place at the society meeting house and was gotten up by the ladies of the ward, Mary Kelly and Mary Morlensen, being the committee com-mittee on arrangements. Mrs. Boothe was presented with a handsome hand-some book, after which a grand feast ensued. An elaborate program pro-gram was rendered, among which was an original poem for the occasion by David Booth. The affair was a memorable one, all having a glorious time, feasting and rejoicing together. |
