Show Old Mining Camp Reports Activity P. T. Henry, who spent several days here this week looking after his business interests, received word Tuesday to the effect that a substantial sub-stantial strike of pay ore had been made ;n the Valdasia Mining company's com-pany's property at Marysvale. The strike was made in the shaft being sunk from the tunnel level and consisted con-sisted of a big body of ore carrying encouraging values in gold and silver. sil-ver. It is believed that with ' a lit-Ufi lit-Ufi furtfier development something of a sensational nature will be uncovered un-covered and this will prove gratifying gratify-ing to those of Gunnison who have holdings in the Aaldasia property. Mr. Henry stated that only five men wore at work at the property at the present time, but just as soon as arrangements could be made the working forces would be increased and development rushed with all possible pos-sible speed. General conditions around the famed old mining district are looking look-ing better now than they have for some time, according to reports. Many eastern capitalists have been in the district during the past summer and several transfers have been made. It is announced, too, that plans are being made to carry out development work on a large scale on some of the properties recently going into new hands; Not alone are the gold and silver properties to I be worked on a big scale, but many of the potash properties are to be extensively ex-tensively developed, it is said. |
