Show LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS 1 Mrs. Ruth Shaw of Salt Lake, is here for a month's visit to her sister, Mrs. j Harold Nielson. O. H. Halverson, after spending several months in Salt Lake was! here for a brief visit to his family last; week. ' Miss Gladys Gribble has returned to; her home in Gunnison after spending a week at Salt Lake visiting with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Carr, who spent several days visiting at the home of Archie Sorenson, have returned to their home at Salt Lake City. Miss Rick Ludvigson of Salt Lake, come in Wednesday evening and was the guest of friends and relatives over Thanksgiving. She expects to return home Sundav. John S. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Anderson and Mrs. Ben Roper were Salt Lake visitors the early days of the week. They left Sunday morning, returning re-turning Wednesday evening. Mayor J. W. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson and the Misses Belva and Margie Sorenson went to Salt Lake Sunday. They spent a few days combining com-bining business with pleasure, returning return-ing to Gunnison Wednesday evening. Alma Fredrickson went to Salt Lake Tuesday of this week. He spent Thanksgh ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Q. G. Crawford and Mrs. Fredrck-son, Fredrck-son, the latter being there on a visit-Mr. visit-Mr. and Mrs. Fredrickson exbert to return re-turn home the first of the coming week. Mrs. Nelson Beal, and infant daughter, daugh-ter, spent Thanksgiving with relatives at Ephraim Mrs Lewella Rees, of the Washington Washing-ton school faculty, spent Thanksgiving with her parents at Wales. Von Macfield of Loa, was here for a short business visit the early days of the week. He was a guest at the Gunnison Gun-nison hotel. Judge and Mrs. J. W. Cherry and family of Mount Pleasant, spent Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. H. w. Cherry at Gunnison. Miss Jessie Hendrickson left for Richfield Rich-field last Wednesday. She was the guest of friends at a Thanksgiving dinner at the Sevier County metropolis. Mrs. H. P. Jensen has gone to Los Angeles for an extended stay. She will visit with her mother, Mrs. S. F.Martin and expects to return to Gunnison in the early spring. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Metcalf, Mr. and Mrs. L. Ludvigson, Mr. and. Mrs. Carl Nielson, Mrs. M. Nav, and Mrs. Sylvia Caldwell, motored to Mbrysvale Wednesday and enjoyed a big Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nielson. Mrs. I. S. Brown of Springville, is here for a brief visit to relatives and friends. Mrs. Brown, who is a sister to Arthur Metcalf, was called here to attend the funeral of Guy Metcalf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Metcalf and whose funeral was held last Saturday . afternoon. |
