Show ENDANGERS SECURITY OF U. S. Manhattan Post of Legion Condemns Action of Navy Department in Releasing 200,000 Members. That the security of the United States Is endangered by the release 9y the Navy department ef nearly 200,000 members of the naval reserve force, is the opinion of members of i Manhattan naval post, American Legion, New York, who have adopted i resolution terming the dropping of die reservists as "breaking the back 3f the reserves." The Manhnttan post Is composed of former navy enlisted men and offl-:ers. offl-:ers. The post has made a careful itudy of naval affairs and has maln-;nlned maln-;nlned a policy favoring complete javal preparedness. The resolution points out that wlth-ut wlth-ut the maintenance of a complete laval reserve force, tbe government lacks sufficient trained men to man :he ships and stations of the navy tn time of war. |
