Show BANQUET HUGH SUCCESS The "goodfellowship" banquet Which was staged at the Presbyterian chapel last Thursday evening proved prov-ed a grand success. There were seventy-five in attendance and there was a look of hearty good feeling and contentment on the faces of all those present. Rev. A. V. Boand, who acted act-ed as toastmaster proved highly en- tertaining throughout the entire evening, and his numerous requests Cor responses were answered by Mayor Jones, R. J. Parr, Ira Over-felt, Over-felt, J. M. Knighton, H. A. Kearns, R. H. Kennedy and Mrs. A. Villard. Several musical selections were offered of-fered among which were banjo solos by Mrs. R. J. Parr, and ! vocal solos by Mrs. R. 0. Norman, Mrs. -Q. H. Childs and Mrs. L. L. Cbilds. The banquet was an affair staged entirely for the purpose, of creating a better spirit of "goodfellowship among the people of Gunnison, and was such a grand success that it is now contem- plated that such an affair be staged annually. |
