Show SANPETE COUNTY EXTENSION NEWS. Boys Club Work: .Richard Glcd-hill, Glcd-hill, president of the Boys Poultry club at Gunnison reports splendid progress being made. There are nine boys enrolled; each one has bis work well under way. A number of the boys have had 90 to !)5 per cent of their eggs hatched from settings. One or two report 100 per cent. ' Richard says the boys are taking great interest in the work. Home Canning Demonstration Successful: Suc-cessful: Last week three days were! devoted to giving Home Canning Demonstrations one day each at Spring City, Manti and Gunnison. The demonstrations were given by Miss Lindman and Miss Bengtson, both graduates -of eastern colleges. Twelve communities in the county sent large delegations to take the work. It was very well received, and much information gained. "Back To The Farm" Excursion: On June 19th and 20th the Chamber af Commerce of Salt Lake City will conduct a big "Back to the Farm" excursion to Sanpete County. They will arrive in Mt. Pleasant at noon on the 19th and visit farms there, at Spring City and Ephrahn, arriving arriv-ing at Manti for the night. The next morning they will visit farms at Man. ti and Gunnison Valley. A big welcome wel-come reception will be arranged by the farm bureau and commercial clubs. |
