McMaster, B. F. Boothe. The special committee on irrigation irriga-tion made the following report: Brigham City, May 24, 1892. Your committee on irrigation beg to report that the irrigation company com-pany have concluded to complete the east branch of the canal, if the contract which they have proposed and submitted is accepted by the land owners along the proposed line. On the 24th inst. your committee com-mittee held a conference with some twenty of the representative land owners of Dcweyville, by whom the contract and its terms were considered and by resolution accepted ac-cepted in general and after some minor details are adjusted it is expected ex-pected that the contruuL will be signed generally. R. H. Jones, Chairman. The foregoing report was accepted. accept-ed. The following resolution yva.8 offered by Mr. Jones and carried: car-ried: Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed by the Chairman Chair-man to investigate the condition in which the recent fire may have left any of the sufferers and that they, the said committee, in connection con-nection with the Chair, be empowered em-powered to take such action, looking look-ing toward relief, as the condition may justify. J. C. Gasberg, one of the sufferers, suf-ferers, being present, explained his position. The Chair appointed R. H. Jones, A. H. Snow and Nels Jenson as that committee. Moved, seconded and carried that the regular night of meeting hereafter be Thursday night instead in-stead of Wednesday and that they be held every two weeks. Adjourned for two weeks, until j June 9th. |
