Show 'Ephraim Pioneer I Called By Death - - Another of Ephralm's early settlers set-tlers is dead. Mrs. Elsie Margarete Anderson, widow of Peter Anderson, passed away at her home in Eph-rajm Eph-rajm Wednesday morning at the age of 7 4 years. Saturday she became be-came ill, developing bronchial-pneumonia, bronchial-pneumonia, which was the cause of her death. Mrs. Anderson was horn in Jen-gene, Jen-gene, Denmark. She was among the pioneers who came to Ephraim in 1S54, experiencing the trials and tribulations of that Valiant band. The journey from her native country coun-try to Ephraim occupied the greater part of one year. She walked the entire distance across the plains from Kansas to Utah at the age of only live years. With her parents, she made her home in Ephraim. In 1S65 she married Peter Anderson, one of the Black Hawk war veterans. Mr. Anderson preceded his wife to the grave. Thirty-six grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and the following follow-ing children survive the deceased: Peter C. Anderson of Salt Lake City, Hyrum Anderson, Joseph Anderson and Roy S. Anderson of Ephraim. Mrs. Alice Thomson of Chester, Mrs. Lorinda Despain of Axtell, Mrs. Zina Olson of Gunnison and Mrs. Elizabeth Frandsen of Clarion. Ephraim Enterprise. Impressive funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Anderson. Those i attending the services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Hans C. Olson.
