Show Big Football Game Here Saturday Gunnison will bo the seat of a big football game next Saturday afternoon after-noon ami it will be the fir:,t real football foot-ball Kami! ever plyaed in the city. The loam from the Wasatch academy at Ml,. I'lcasant and. the Richfield high Mchool will be the contenders ' for honoi'3 and in as much as the winner of the game, will participate in the state meet to be held at Salt, Lake Cily on Armistice day, there is sure to be some "tussle" between the two teams. Wasatch will come here with a strong aggregation, and will be out for the honors. During the season just opened Wasatch has played in four and has won all to its credit. In addition to the team players, there will be a large following of "roolers" who will yell their favorites favor-ites to victory. Richfield, too, has some team. In the games she has jarticipated in she won three and lost one. Likewise a big following of school frineds and others and fully 150 or 200 visitors w ilble here to see the game. The game scheduled for Saturday and which will be called promptly at 2 o'clock will be for the purpose of deciding the championship of the Central Utah division and as Gunnison Gunni-son has no team this city was chosen for the melee on account of it being neutral grounds. The game will be played at the baseball park and will be conducted and played by regular rules. There are many in the city who have never seen a real football game and with the two strong teams lined up the spectators are sure to see something good. Following the game a dance will be given at the Gunnison Valley high school auditorium and tho visitors from the several towns, together with the players of the respective teams will be entertained by members mem-bers from the local high school. |
