Mr. and Mrs. Marlowe Jensen of Marysvale, were over Sunday guests of Mr. Jensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen. - Mr. and Mrs. E. II .Ilalvcvson, who spent some two weeks at Salt Lake and Provo, returned home last Saturday Satur-day evening Mrs. L. II. Erickson was hostess fo sixteen friends at an anniversary dinner party at the home of her parents par-ents Thursday of last week. Mrs. Erickson received many beautiful presents on the occasion. C. I. Thatcher, deputy state bank examiner, and B. M. Todd, examiner in charge of the Piute State Bank, and the State Bank of Kane, were here yesterday on official business. Messrs. Thatcher and Todd came up from Southern LTtah where they ' have been on a tour and making examinations ex-aminations of slate banks. Wm. Metcalf, president, and C. C. Edmonds, cashier, of the Gunnison City National bank, were among those from Gunnison that attended the meeting of the Sanpete County Bankers association at Ephraim last Friday. The vistors report a successful success-ful meeting and report some fifty in attendance. An elaborate banquet was served to the visitors following Mrs. Ole Larson and Miss Mabel Larson attended the funeral of Mrs. Dora Barlow held at Clearfield Friday Fri-day of last week. Returning they visited for a short time at Salt Lake. Fred Ropp, an employee of the Gunnison Valley Sugar company, was quite seriously injured last Sunday Sun-day when he fell. In some manner his leg was injured and to determine ! whether any bones are broken he will be taken to Salina for an X-ray picture. the business sessions. Last Thursday afternoon Mrs. Charles Lund entertained at lunch-con lunch-con and four tables at Progressive Five Hundred. Prizes were awarded to Airs. J. W. Jones and Mrs. R. W. Edwards. Friday afternoon of last week Mrs. TT. P. Jensen entertained in celebrating celebrat-ing her birthday anniversary. Luncheon Lunch-eon and necdlecraft were tho diversions. |
