Show High School Notes (Reported by Vesta Pierce) The biggest event of the week was the "'flag rush" between the freshmen and sophomores. The battle was fought with spirit on both sides their strength practically being equal until un-til one of the sophomores, Franklin Christensen, was injured so he could not take any further part. The struggle strug-gle resulted in victory for the freshmen, fresh-men, who suffered no injuries except scratches, black eyes and torn clothing. cloth-ing. Tuesday the freshmen celebrated celebra-ted their victory with "a peanut bust," the "amunitlon" being furnished fur-nished by one of the boys who did not take part in the contest. The eighth grade shop boys, acting upon Mr. Alder's suggestion made a clothesrack for their room. The B. A. club met Thursday evening even-ing and enjoyed games, music and light refreshments. Miss Myrtle Thompson of Sclpio, a former student of our high school visited vis-ited with us Tuesday. The students are planning Xmas parcels for the high school Sammies Mina Beauregard. Vernon Rovlance and Ernest Pierce. The domestic science girls entertained enter-tained the iaculty at dinner Tuesday. The freshman class in Wednesday's assembly gave the following program: Class poem, Mary Tuft Vocal sulo, Virginia Peterson Piano solo, Eima Fjeldsted Jokes, Blaine Perkins Vocal duet, Gladys Larson and Edna Ed-na Nielsen. |
