Show R. Driggs of the University of Utah. Lincoln day program will be given throughout the various grades on Friday morning. MlssElva Sorenson has been appointed ap-pointed permanent class reporter for the school. There has been a scare on account of . one or two cases of whooping cough. The teachers are guarding against any further outbreaks In this regard. A splendid program was given by the Apex class on Thursday evening. We would like to see more school patrons in attendance. J. M. Knighton, our representative on the school board paid us a pleasant visit on Thursday. Subscriptions for "Current Events" a live school paper, have been received re-ceived from the students of the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The school band, under the direction direc-tion of E L. Fjeldsted, made its initial ini-tial appearance at the Apex class meeting Thursday evening. A nature science class has been organized uuder the direction of Principal O. I. Rasmussen and J. E. Metcalf. The class is for the boys of the three higher grades, and they meet on Tuesday's and Thursday's. WASHINGTON SCHOOL (By'Elva Sorenson.) The teachers of Washington leave on Friday for Mt. Pleasant to be present at the conjoint institute of North and South Sanpete districts. Speakers of renown who will be at this convention will be Dr. E. G. Gowans, state superintendent of public instruction and Prof. Howard |
