Show NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS Any day is a good time to make good resolutions, but the advent of a new year is one of the best times, because be-cause it is a milepost on the road of life. Resolutions which cannot reasonably reason-ably be lived up to are better never made. Failure weakens character, causes loss of confidence and leads the mind to a feeling of "what's the use?" Real happiness in life cannot be bought with gold. Many of the humblest hum-blest people are happier and more contented con-tented than a neighbor who dwells in, a mansion. One should try to make each day as it comes the happiest day of one's life. Why waste one's life away living in anticipation of a day that may never come? Each day is like a mirror. One side is bright and the reflections seem even better than they really are. The other side is rough and dark. Try to keep the bright side turned your way and at the end of the year may each of us look back with a better feeling at heart and a clearer conscience, that we have performed our duties to the full extent of the opportunities given us. |
