Show Local and Personal Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Duggins went to Salt Lake the first of the week for a combination business and pleasure trip. June Metcalf and Irvin Willardson motored to "Salt Lake on Wednesday of this week. They will be absent until Sunday. Mrs. C. M. Martin, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. C. M. Peterson, left for her home in Salt Lake last Saturday. Mrs. Roy Childs, who has been the guest of friends and relatives at Manti for the past week, has returned return-ed to her home in Gunnison. Mrs. Geo. H. Crosby and children, the guests at the home of Mrs. C. M. Peterson for some time, have returned return-ed to their home at Mesa, Arizona. J. W. Edwards, the well known Gunnison valley rancher, spent last Saturday at Manti looking after legal le-gal matters before the district court. Calvin Pace was among the travelers trav-elers to Salt Lake City last Wednesday Wednes-day morning. Calvin will spend the winter in the city and will be a student stu-dent of the W7est Side High school. Mrs. Abe Reigert and son, Milton, were travelers -to "Salt Lake the early clays of this week. They will be absent ab-sent for two weeks or more and before be-fore returning to Gunnison will visit friends and relatives at the capitol city, Murray and Tooele. Miss L. S. McGonigal, who has been absent from Gunnison for four months, returned to the city last Tuesday evening. Miss McGonigal spent her vacation in Ohio, visiting in Akron, Cleveland, Oberlin and other cities. Miss Josie Curtis, community worker for the Presbyterian church in Gunnison, returned last Tuesday evening from an extended vacation trip to Denver, Colo. Miss Curtis was absent some three months and she enjoyed her vacation to the fullest full-est extent. Percy Nelson, well known in Gunnison Gun-nison and who underwent an operation opera-tion for appendicitis at the Salina hospital last Saturday, is reported to be convalescing nicely. If no complications com-plications set in Mr. Nelson expects to return to his home some time dur- ing the coming week. ' |
