It costs about 25 cents to raise a rabbit. to the age of three months. At that time it may be marketed at the rate of 35 to 40 cents a pound and the pelts are worth from 15 to 75 cents, depending on the kind of rabbit rab-bit and its size. Oats, cabbage and water compose the basic diet used by most of the young growers.
