Show Local and Personal Mrs. W. S. Tollestrup has returned from an extended vacation trip to Salt Lake. Mrs. Nephi Gledhill and daughter, Alice, have returned from a short visit to friends in Salt Lake. A boost for your town and country is always in line. The man who opposes op-poses is the man who is scorned. Be a booster, always! Mrs. B. N. Gardner, who has been the guest' of her mother, Mrs. S. E. Newman, for several days past, left this morning for her home at Driggs, Idaho. Mrs. Bert Pox, of Ely, Nevada, is expected in Gunnison tomorrow evening. ev-ening. Mrs. Pox will be the house guest of her sister, Mrs. E. A. Porter, Por-ter, for a week or ten days. Miss Eva Laconder, who has been the guest of Miss Manda Jensen for the past three weeks, expects to return re-turn to her home at Rupert, Idaho, tomorrow. W. V. England and Rudgar Adam-son Adam-son motored to Salt Lake Wednesday Wednes-day morning. They will spend a few days in the city seeing the sights and looking after minor business matters. Thomas L. Mendenhall, president of the Mendenhall bank of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, returned to his home at Spring-ville Spring-ville Wednesday after having spent several days as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Tuft. Mrs. Frank Keyser entertained a number of her friends at the New Gunnison hotel last Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Two tables of "500" were played and during the afternoon refreshments re-freshments were served. Covers were laid for eight. Mrs. R. Edwards entertained a number of her friends at the horns of her mother, Mrs. L. M. Childs, last Friday afternoon, the occasion being her anniversary. Four tables of progressive "500" were played. Following cards Mrs. Edwards served serv-ed a delightful lunch to the guests. |
