Show DUPED WOMEN. Kansas City Man Now Will Run Gauntlet Gaunt-let of Public Criticism. Kansas City. Charles N. Nord, formerly for-merly a Kansas City real estate dealer, deal-er, has been placed in the county jail here on a charge of passing a worthless worth-less check. He was arrested In Omaha on a warrant sworn out by a local grocer. Following his return to Kansas City the police seized Nord's trunk and in it found several hundred letters from women in various parts of the country. These letters, which were made public Thursday night, Invariably In-variably refer to Nord in terms of endearment, en-dearment, generally speak of a coming com-ing marriage, and in each case mention men-tion loans of money alleged to have been made by the writers to Nord. From the letters It would appear that Nord had borrowed money from, scores of women who had become ras-cinated ras-cinated with him. and that in every instance he had failed to repay the loans. |
