Show : COMMERCIAL CLUB IN REGULAR SESSION The Commercial club met in regu lar segsion Tuesday night, Presideut Kerns presiding, with a good attend ance shown at the meeting. The committee appointed at a former meeting to meet with the Centerfield people to consider the mtter of building a central Bchool milding reported the Centerfield peo- la as bein g against the move, and I was of the opinion that nothing could be expected from those people at the j resent time. The attention of the club was called to the fact that Axtell was trying to establish a school district of their own . It fas the sense of tho club that they favor the division according to population. popu-lation. The following committee was appointed to ascertain th5 facts and investigate the matter and get a division di-vision that will be fair to this piirt of the district : M. Beauregard, YV. H. Gribble, William Metcalf. The following members were appointed ap-pointed to attend the combined meeting meet-ing a f the Commercial clubs of Sanpete, San-pete, Sevier and Piute counties to be held at Mt. Pleasant Feb. 6: J. W. Edwards. Dr. A. Bjornson, C. W. Perkins, William Metcalf, Peter Christiansen, L. II Guilds. Upon-motiou Upon-motiou it was decided that these delegates dele-gates work for the next meetiug of the combined clubs to be held in this city. Meeting adjourned until Monday Mon-day night when the annual meeting will be held. |
