Show laud Oct, 22, 1829. He was one' of the pioneers of this place, and participated partici-pated in the Indian trouble during the settlement of this valley. He was a highly respected citizen, very energetic ener-getic and beloved by all. He is sur vived by two sons, George H. and John M. and four daughters, Mrs. W. H. Gribble of this city, Mrs. W, D. Childa of Centerfield. Mrs. E, H Cowan of Fay Nev, and Mis. Jamas Melcalf of Salt Lake City, The remains were laid to rest in the Gunnison cemetary beside those of biB wife wbo passed away just eight months ago. Jolin Knighton Laid to Rest. Most beautiful and impressive funeral fun-eral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the R. S, Hall over the remains or John Knighton, whose death occured at Fay, Nev, last Saturday. Satur-day.
