For years the Losi Cabin h;is been one of tho tradi tionsvif that section, and many a search has been made for it aud the gold that is-supposed is-supposed lo be waiting for the tinder Nothing was again heard of the two men until a few weeks ago, when a cattle cat-tle heider found their camp and their skeletons iu a dense wilderness near Diamond Dia-mond lake, lifly miles from Fort Klamath. Kla-math. The skeletons were found near together, wrapped in their blankets and dollied. Their guns stood against a tree near by, ,A siniill sum of money was in one of the un n's pockets, and a watch, no that it seemed certain lhat they had not been murdered and robbed. A diary and a postal card addressed to Burues mother served to identify them. The diary was carried to Aug. 21, 1880, 60 the men had been dead nearly three years. But how they died will probably be one of the mysteries of tho Diamond Lake region, Chicago Herald. |
