A UNANIMOUS AFFAIR. Mormon, Jew and Gontile Unite In a Koynl Splodge. The Fourth of July will be ap-proprmtclv ap-proprmtclv celebrated in Brigham City. The entire populace, consisting" of Mormon, Jew and gentile, have united in order to make the event j a pleasurable one. j Religious prejudices, political ; differences and family jars will be j either banished or smothered. i The masses will act in harmoni- ; ous unison. They will demonstrate J to the world that loyalty and patriotic patri-otic zeal for our great Republic, the grandest on the globe, is uppermost in the minds of our people. In pursuance to the call made in i the last issue of The Bugler, 100 j citizens met at the Court House i Monday night. J. M. Jensen was I chosen Chairman; M. L. Snow, ' Secy. ; Mr. Jensen stated the object of I the meeting. It was then unani- ' mously agreed that we celebrate ; the Fourth. I After suggestions and explana- j tory speeches by several gentlemen i the following committees were ap- j pointed : Committee on general J arrangements: J. M. Jensen, J. D. Peters, S. L. Gillespie, J. R. Smurth- waite and A. H. Snow. ! Finance committee: H. L. Steed, j A. E. Snow. Wm. Horsley, L. T. j Peircc and Hebcr Boden. j Subsequent to the adjournment j of the meeting the committee met. i Sub-committees were then appoint- j cd on grounds, procession, program, ' amusements, and fire works. Dr. L. H. Berg has been appointed appoint-ed to superintend the fire works display. Quite a number of prizes will be given away on this day. The horse racers will be offered something some-thing worth working for. Gidney's grove near the depot has been selected for the occasion. ! Theentire county is cordially invited ; to participate. the day's progham. 1. At sunrise, band playing; and cannon can-non salute as ring is raised. 2. Gathering jit ward halls sit 9 :30 a. m. ;. Procession leaves Court Houee for Gidney's grove at 10 a. in. l.-'-Exercisea at grove are as follows . 1. Music. by the band. '2. Prayer by chaplain, E.A.Box. I-!. Vocal music, quartette club. 4. The business men and private citizens arc donating liberally and cheerfully cheer-fully to the fund. With nature in our favor, our Fourth oi July will be a magnificent affair; a splendid success.
