Would Interest the Child. Mrs. Ella Flagg Young, superintendent superintend-ent of the schools of Chicago, says that she does not believe in much home work by the pupils, a statement that will delight parents as well as children. She believes, however, that school work should be so Interesting and concern itself so much with the daily life of the child that It will want to talk it over at home. The fact that children do not consider the work interesting in-teresting enough to talk about It out of school is, she says, a criticism of the schools.
