Knighton and son Byron returned Wednesday from a brief visit to relatives at Price and American F'ork. Judge Cherry made a prosessional visit to Salt Lalie, returning home on Wednesday. Ernest L. Swalberg is mingling with the busy throng at Salt Lake this week of conventions. County Commissioner C. M. Madsen is at his post in the Con. W. after a week's absence on the county board of equalization. Rev. J. H. MaClain will preach in the Presbyterian church next Sunday evening, June 14, at 8 p. m. A change has been effected altering alter-ing the name of Gunnison Valley Power company to that of Southern Utah Power company. Under the new incorporation the general office is retained at Provo and Mr. Clark, who has local management is also named as one of the directors. John S. Carter, and Dalt Bennett of Mt. Pleasant, "and; Amps Bradley of Moroni, members of tlie coxmty committee com-mittee for the proposed county encampment en-campment of Indian War Veterans to be held next August, were in Gunnison Gunni-son last Sunday officially to learn the conditions as to the feasability of holding the event here. Attention is directed to an ordinance ordi-nance in this number of The Gazette, Ga-zette, concerning the regulation and control of the distribution of water from the city's water works. This, ordinance was passed last August, and was published by posting. Few know of its provisions, and now it is deemed proper to more fully, inform the water-takers, with a view of enforcing en-forcing the rules and regulotions thereunder. It would be well for those concerned to observe the warning warn-ing and acquaint themselves with the number of their district and. the hours appointed to each as set forth in the notice also published in another column given by the city-superintendent city-superintendent of water works. |
