Show A w Depart r. ' The Box Elder Meat and Produce Pro-duce Co., which has boen lately organized in this City, intends to conduct its business upon a different dif-ferent plan from those already in use. The originators thought it only tight and just that after the company realized a reasonable-profit reasonable-profit on ita investment, the customers ehould share in the balance of the pro6u. hence the business will be conducted upon the equitable co-operative plan. Each customer paying cash at iuch a btore will receive tickets in return, showing the amonntnf his purchase. At the end of the year, these tickets will be called -in, each customer receiving credit for the amount turned in. The company com-pany will in the meantime find out what its net profits arc, and after placing a certain amount in the reserved fund, the balance will be divided between the stock holders hol-ders and customers at the annual or semi-annual stockholders' meut- ing. This plan is new to our City, but is in successful operation in several parts of the Territory, as well as in the East. The system has reached as near perfection as possible in England. If this enterprise proves successful, " several other enterprises enter-prises will be organized upon the same plan in this City. The stock, of this company has been spread around among a great many people, and very little is left, it being the policy to give as many as possible a chance to take stock. |
