Show H ' Hearty Welcome WE are sure that Bishop Glass must feel that the beginning of his service here has been M f, most auspicious; that an enthusiastic welcome B ,1, awaited him; such as carried with it a promise H that he would bo surrounded with the full re- H spect and sympathy of not only the people of M his own sect, but of all the men and women who H ill appreciate high souls that are devoted to the H right as God gives them to see the right. H j The bishop comes here to take up and wear H j the mantle of his predecessor who came here a H j young priest, we imight almost say an entirely H i' unsophisticated young ipriest, so far as any con- B tact with the outer world's ways were concerned; H j but with a faith strong as life, a zeal that knew H no flagging and a sublime trust strong enough B to steady and keep serene a soul consecrated to H ' duty. So, for two score years, he went about W , here "doing good," and what he did drew all B t hearts to him, for what he accomplished here V was very great. H I The spirit behind what lie did shone out while H 4 he lived and aureoles his memory like an Incan- H I descent celestial light. H In taking up Ills work the new bishop will be H cheered by the reflection of that radiance. H . He is to be warm'Iy congratulated. So is Utah H at his coming. li |
