Show Kl'UKXICS AT THE FA1H. The science of eugenics has reached the Utah state fair. The old-time baby contest Is to be held with reference ref-erence to health and physical perfection perfec-tion rather than mere looks and outward out-ward appearance. Secretary Horace S. Ensign of the fair association and those associated with him are of the opinion that the old saying, "Beauty is only skin deep" is true and that "perfect" "per-fect" babies are those Infants who have sound little bodies, healthy skin, well set bones, properly pror rtioned limbs and good sight and hearing. Accordingly there will be a "better baby contest" and a day to be designated desig-nated as "Mother's day" at the fair, when physicians will examine the youngsters entered in the contest and judge the prize winner from a purely scientific point of view. . |
