Show EMPRESS. A very excellent bill of variety is the current Empress program. Ray' Dooley and her youngsters top the list with a little sketch that has been carefully prepared pre-pared for just the sort of a company Miss Dooley has gotten together, and it is a novelty musical act well worth seeing. The Etta Leon troupe of acrobats are pretty nearly all that was promised and Mary Barley's bull dog music hall feature has proven a great hit for the youngsters and grownups who like to watch the canines. Budd and Clare have no place on an Empress program as the act is rough without the saving grace of being funny. Merlin and the Tod Nards finish the bill, the first in some card manipulations and the latter two in a series of strong arm feats. |
