AN ORDINANCE. , An ordinance levying a tax and for tho assessment of property on both sides of Pacific Court between First West and Second Wost Streets, In Sewer Sew-er District No. 1, for tho construction of a sewer. Bo It ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That tho City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for tho assessment of the same upon tho property hereinafter described, In Sewer District No. 1, for tho construction construc-tion of a sewer, to-wlt: In Lots 2 and 3, Block 132, Plat "A," I abutting on both sides of Pacific Court II between First West and Second West f Streets. This tax Is levied to defray tho expense ex-pense of constructing a vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches in diamotor upon the portion of said street opposite oppo-site the property herelnbeforo and here-i here-i inafter described to bo especially af- ! fected and benefited by said improvc- I mont, and it is hereby adjudged, deter- I mind and established that said proper? I ty will bo especially bonefited thereby ! to tho full amount of tho tax hereby 1 levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equnl and uniform uni-form rate in accordance with tho linear lin-ear foot frontago upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-flvo (25) foot back therofrom, and tho tax hereby levied and to bo assessed upon said parcels of land is four hundred seven and 88-100 88-100 ($407.88) dollars, or 9801808-10,-000,000 ($0.9804808) dollars per front' or linear foot of abutting property, there being 410 feet of abutting property within tho boundaries of tho lots, block and street above mentioned in said district, dis-trict, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sower, according to tho contract entered Into for the , performance of said work and making said Improvement, with J. F. Plat "A," Salt Lako City Survey, as tho same aro shown upon tho official v plats of said city to a dopth of twonty- flvo (25) feet back from said street, I and to collect said tax. I SECTION 2. Said tax shall become I and bo delinquent In flvo equal yearly installments, with Interest on the wholo sum unpaid at tho rate of six TjQr cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is duo, to-wlt: Ono -fifth thereof ono year after tho (approval of tho ordinance confirming tho levy of tho tax ror tho payment for such improvement; ono-fifth thereof there-of In two years after such approval; one-fifth thereof In three years after such approval; one-.flfth thoreof In il four years after such approval; and ono-fifth thereof In flvo years after such approval. Ono or moro of said Installments, in tho order in which ' 1 they aro payable, or tho whole spoclal . tax may bo paid at any time within thirty days after tho approval of the ordinance confirming tho levy of tho tax, without interest. In tho ovont of any installment or tho lntorest aforesaid afore-said not being paid on tho date- the samo becomes duo, tho wholo amount of the special tax unpaid at tho timo said installment and interest are duo shall become duo and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until tho sale of tne property assessed; provided, ono or molro Installments, In tho order in which they aro payable, or tho wholo special tax unpaid may be paid on tho day any Installment becomes duo, by paying tho amount thoreof and interest inter-est to said dale.
