Salt Lake Theatre The Theatre will be dark the ensuing week and the next theatrical attrac-iton attrac-iton will be "The Girl in the Taxi," opening Thursday night, November 9th and playing a three nights' engagement. Following this 'musical 'mus-ical show Mlontgomery and btone will be seen in "The Old Town,' on November 16th, 17th and 18th. Colonial The announcement of a week's engagement en-gagement of "Baby Mine," Margaret Mayo's comedy, com-edy, should be all that would be necessary to give the Colonial one of the best weeks of its year. The play opens Sunday evening of the coming week and so rich is the comedy in originality and so charming is the author's treatment of a story (Continued on Page 14.) Orpheum The Blank Fami'y, Continental champions of double 3ugglin?, are given first place on the new program for the Beck house, beginning begin-ning Sunday afternoon. With them will be seen the Three Leightons, presenting "A One Night Stand in Minstrelsy," the Foul Elles, "Danses Modernes," a recent dancing success of the London Lon-don Coliseum, Hippodrome, and other big houses; end the motion pictures and the orchestra, complete com-plete the bill. Williams and Segal in foot feats, Siems, the I Danish Conjuror, and one other act will, with Primrose Four, billed as One Thousand Pounds of Harmony. Garrlck "Texas," a play of the western cow country that is said to provide a full quota of cowboys, cow-boys, Mexicans, half breeds, cow girls, and long horns will be offered at the Garrlck beginning Sunday Sun-day evening. "Texas" has been before tho public a long time and seems to endure through the seasons sea-sons where the newer plays of the southwest wane in public popularity. The Garrick announces that an unusual effort has been made to stage "Texas" with a great deal of realism. Matinee performances perform-ances will be given Thursday and Saturday afternoons, after-noons, and following "Texas" Miss Clifton, the Garrick's attractive leading woman, will be seen in a special production of "Zaza." |
