Show ACADEMIES PREPARING FOR OPENINGS. Utah schools and academies are well along in their preparations for September openings. It is probable that the local institutions have never been in a more prosperous condition than they are this year and a large preliminary enrollment enroll-ment is already reported by the majority of them. Saint Mjary's Academy, conducted by the sisters sis-ters of the Holy Cross, is among the latter and the authorities in charge of the work of the school have announced a very thorough course of work for the ensuing school year. According to the original design, Saint Mary's Academy consists of a boarding and day schools for girls, its advantages including a complete course of commercial branches, a school of music, vocal and instrumental, domestic .training and a carefully care-fully regulated system of personal supervision applicable to all students who enroll for its courses. The success of Saint Mary's academy has been very great in the past and tho school is unquestionably one of the most popular of its kind in the state. The physical equipment of the institution is thoroughly modern and its students occupy a position in Salt Lake society, literary and art circles unexcelled by those of any similar Institution. During the past scholastic year the locture course provided for students of the academy acad-emy proved one of the features of the -general work. |
