Rambler deliveries for 1906 models will bo made about the first of April, with a posslbijty of purchasers receiving them oven sooner than that. Telegrams which reached this city during the week from the "Rambler" manufacturers at Kenosha, Ken-osha, Wisconsin, brought not only tbis good news, but a story of the large shipment which left the factory of Thomas B. Jeffrey & Co., on Wednesday. Included in the train were sixteen car loads, of "Rambler" touring cars, sixty-six in number, the largest single shipment of automobiles ever made in America. San Francisco Is the destination of this unique train, and the "Rambler" agents in this city the Consolidated Wagon & Maqhine company, who control the Utah and Idaho territories are sparing no effort in an attempt to have the train stop here on the way to the coast'. They are particularly desirious of this in order to make a demonstration of this year's models, though the temporary delay is somewhat doubtful, doubt-ful, as the house has advised that the first stop of any consequence will be at Sacramento. From road conditions now existing in the Inter-mountain country, and the recent heavy snowfall the promised deliveries will bo here- in ample 'time for the trade in this region. A number of Rambler sales have been reported, re-ported, and many of them call for April delivery. The daily demonstrations of the practicability of the "Rambler" which ."runs very day" have evidently convinced many prospective purchasers that the "Rambler" is the car that does things. H. P. Elliott has conducted these demonstra-tiens demonstra-tiens in Rambler Touring Car No. 5817. |
