Show The holy Prophet has, again broken Into one of his fiery rhapsodies, in which' he announced that he does not propose to lose or desert any of "the wives the "Lord had given him." It would seem to the uninitiated that someone besides the Lord had an important hand in his manifold nuptials, but the difficult thing for people to figure is why the prophet should become so excited whenever when-ever he mentions this favorite subject. It is not known that there is any organization of kidnappers kidnap-pers in this vicinity, but even If there were and they succeeded in carrying, away one or two Mrs. Smiths, it is not at all improbable that the prophet would take a few more to fill the chairs left vacant. Further, there appears to be no occasion for the prophet to desert his wives, although if he kept his pledge tq the nation he would live in but one of the five or six mansions. Certainly there would appear to be no occasion to desert them on account of lack of funds, so long as the overflowing overflow-ing ten per cent filters through the Bee Hive sieve Into the capacious pockets of the prophet. |
