Show PAT COLLINS. Hon. Pat Collins, whose funeral took place in Boston last Monday, was a most distinguished and loveable man. Born abroad, he was a most true American before he reached our shores. Great-brained and great-hearted, unapproachably honest, a gifted orator and filled with the magnetism magne-tism of an ardent, impulsive but resolute soul, troops of friends followed his footsteps in life, thousands of them mourn his death. He held high office for many years, but there was never a breath of slander to film the shield of his perfect honor, his political friends and enemies alike paid him the full tribute of affection and respect, and he went to his grave carrying with him the reverence rev-erence and love of thousands. His sleep should be most sweet. |
