Show WHERE IS THE GRAFT? Just prior to the opening of registration of entries en-tries for. Uintah reservation lands, a dispatch announced an-nounced that 50,000 acres had been withdrawn from entry, the intimation being that the lands had been reserved for irrigation purposes. Later it was stated that instead of 50,000 acres some 200,000 acres had been withdrawn. A gentleman who knows the reservation well, who, too, is a good Mormon, showed the writer of this the sections sec-tions withdrawn, and they measure more than 270,000 acres, and are the cream of the reservation, reserva-tion, including all the best agricultural lands. It is impossible to conclude anything except that a large sized African is concealed somewhere under that sage brush. Some one interested ought to make a direct statement to President Roosevelt and inform him that the honor of his administration adminis-tration requires a full explanation of the matter. |
