For this introduction of his new star Sj David Belasco will present him in a new character H comedy entitled "The Auctioneer," and enlisting S the services of the most talented comedians. The m local character of the play, particularly its pic- 8 torial side, should attract interest, inasmuch as If the scenes will represent several Now York locali- M ties more or less familiar to all. The first act m shows the interior of the auction store on Hester 1 street; the second reveals the interior of Levi's H new up-town residence on Lexington avenue "L." All the characters of the play will be recognized ar H amusing street types. The title part of "the only I Levi" will show the popular Warfield in that line 9 of Hebrew portrayal that has made him famous, VBE & m but with just a brief pathetic touch here and there H '& by way of humanizing the character. That is to say, it is a thrilling thrill-ing drama with music, which is the real meaning of the term melodrama. Managers Wagenhals and Kemper invested a fortune in the scenic and costume cos-tume effects, and they are credited with having given one of the most gorgeous productions attempted at-tempted in many years. The New York Telegraph says "Grace Elliston, who made a hit in San Francisco as leading woman wo-man for Henry Miller in his entire summer repertoire" reper-toire" and such is fame oven in the big city Margaret Anglin.
