Show HENRY WAGNER. Henry Wagner, who died on Sunday night, H was one of the truest of men and citizens. Ho H was a resident of this city for almost forty years, H and when he came to die there was not one re- 11 proach to cast at his name or memory. All his j H life he was a public spirited, honest man. He ill loved to nee prosperity, loved the progress of the city and until his hand was paralyzed by illness :j he joyously bore his part as a citizen and Am- jM erican. All his impulses were generous, all his M aims high and in counting tho figures that marked M his duties there were in them as much considora- H tion for his followman as for himself. H He has been a long sufferer, often his suffer- "H ings have beoii most acute, but he has been pa- tiont and brave through all. However ho must H have welcomed his final release and the prayer H of all who knew him will bo that he lias entered H into eternal peace. M |
