Show PMJGUITCtl rJGVJS By Earl Roe 676-2376 wearlroeyahoo.com I had planned on being in Silver City, New Mexico last week spending Thanksgiving with my son's family but Evalyn experienced a problem with her heart Monday night and ended up spending the night in the hospital. hos-pital. Between that and the weather, weath-er, we decided to play it safe and stay home. I thought I would just wish all of our readers a "Happy anf Filling Thanksgiving" and let it go for the week, but I didn't even do that so being a week late I will just say that I hope all of you had a 'Happy and Thankful Thanksgiving". Even in the troubled times existing throughout the World today, we who are fortunate enough to live in America can always find plenty for which to be thankfull! I thought I would be swamped with news of Thanksgiving visitors and trips to visit others, but this did not happen so the news this week is almost as bare as the carcass of that Thanksgiving turkey; however how-ever I did find time to talk with a couple of persons and gather some news. Barbara Marshall recently returned from an 11 -day cruise called "The Travels of Paul". She went with a good friend, Norma Turnbull. Norma and her husband (recently deceased) served a mission with Barbara and Don in Nauvoo and feeling a need for a little spiritual uplift, called Barbara and asked if she would be interested in going on such a trip. Husband, Don, encouraged her to go so she did. They flew to Venice where their cruise started and visited Ephesius, Turkey, Istanbul, Greece, Bari (Italy), and other sites in the Mediterranean area. Their guides were Scott and Maurine Proctor who publish a guide on Internet Information and are well versed in their field. Barbara said it was a very informative' and enjoyable learning experience. She arrived back home in time to prepare for Thanksgiving at their home at the Blue Spring sub-division with all of their children; Jim and his wife, Cody; Rhett and his three children; Melonie and Gene Anderson and their three children; Micki & Kay Shirtz, their four children & son-in-law, Ryan Clark. From the background chatter while I was speaking with Barbara, I could tell everyone was having a good time. Jerry and Deanna LeFevre had an enjoyable Thanksgiving with their children. Enjoying the family gathering was Rhonda and Shan Kennedy and children, Colby and Josie (Ogden), Jeremy (Reno), Jake (St. George), Jed and as guest of honor, Jerry's dad, Ike LeFevre who (I am sure) added spark to the festivities.
