Noyes was the only PHS wrestler to get 1st place at state. Houston was selected as the only Academic All-State because of his exceptional GPA. i - i - i k "it1- 1 if ' 1 j L ., . ii! ii I The Panguitch High School wrestling team did an outstanding job this year, even though they had a young team due to last years graduates and team members who had moved. The team overall over-all took 2nd place two weekends ago at Region wrestling and 4th place at state wrestling last weekend. Those competing were, back row, left to right, Stuart Mitchell, Mike Black, Mitchell The young team of PHS wrestlers wrest-lers surprised everyone with a 2nd place win at region -and a 4th place win at state. After tying for the state title last year, most folks expected the Bobcat Bob-cat wrestlers to come on strong once again this year. But the team lost 18 of its seasoned wrestlers to graduation and Moore, Travis Martinez, Mark Tebbs, Joe Noyes, Derick Veater, Kasey Owens, and Roy Seals; middle row: Tanner Wilcock, Nate Houston, Kale Hatch, John Zechlin, Acey Burningham, Andrew Englestead, Lonnie Milgate, Justin Woolsey, and Cache Miller, front row: Lucas Carroll, Mitchell Owens, Shaun Marshall, Brandon George, and Coach Barry Smith. PHS Wrestlers, Young And Unproven, Surprise Everyone With 2nd Place At Region And 4th Place At State moves before the season start, leaving most opposing coaches believing that Panguitch would not even be in the race this season.
