Show Tropic feus"; Janet Pollock enjoyed having her daughters Jackie Blais and Jeannie Hall visit with her for art ; evening. ; Larvin and Eva Pollock have returned from two months of vacation visiting with their daugh-! ters. They drove to Mesa, Ariz., td visit Maureen and Ron Reed and family and to spend a couple of . days there. Then they flew to Tulsa , " 1 Okla., to spend two weeks with' ; ; Pauline and Brent Allen and chil- -, -: '. : dren. While there, they encountered; . , -! : an ice storm where everyone gen-; ' '. ; erally stays indoors. The grandchil-; ; -dren couldn't attend school and " -; -. -opted to entertain Larvin and Eva!; ; " ; -They even ate by candlelight when-' " the electricity went off. From-" . - (See TROPIC on page 6-A) ' f : ; ; TROPIC From Page 2-A Tulsa, they flew to Chicago to spend two weeks with Juanita and Reynold Price and their family where the weather was cold also. Then their round trip flight ended back in Phoenix and they spent two weeks with the Reeds in Mesa. The weather was much better there! Condolences go to Kay Willis and his family. They will certainly miss their mother and wife, Maggie Willis. Bryant and Mary Ann Shake-spear Shake-spear spent a week of their vacation time with Carl and Kay Shakespear and girls. Bryant enjoyed his time hunting. Also, Matthew's wife Stephanie and baby spent a few days in between moving from Provo to California. Carol Stewart- and Margaret Shakespear spent a day with their daughters in Cedar City for the annual I.W.A. activities outlined for mothers and daughters. The food was delicious, speakers were motivating, moti-vating, and the games were fun. Lacee Johnson came to visit with her parents, Paul and Keela Mangum. Mandy and Jason Humphrey of Lindon spent the weekend with her parents Jean and Spring Seiler. Thad and Rome Feltner were here also visiting with his parents LaMar and Cheri Feltner and family. Dixie Shakespear enjoyed a short Sunday visit with Danny and Vicki Shakespear of New Harmony. Also, LDS Sunday meetings brought the scout troop to help members recall that February is scout month. Those speaking were Pace and Preston Clarke, Joe and Spencer Harman, Stephen Pollock and Jake Seiler. Released from the Cub Scouts were Arthur and Vicki Syrett. The annual stake Boy Scout winter camp was held at Koda-chrome Koda-chrome State Park with many boys in attendance. Clive and Thelma Bybee enjoyed en-joyed having all their children and grandchildren help them celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Saturday evening they held a dinner and program where families enter tained everyone by performing their talents. (Sorry we missed Mary Ann's belly dance!) Family members mem-bers include the Gary and Kristeen Bybee family and Sharon and Chris White family all of Santa Clara; the Rick and Renon Bybee family and Aaron and Julie Bybee family, all of Tropic; the Kevan and Kassi Bybee family of Ogden; MaryAnn and daughter, Jessica, of St. George; the Kaelynn and Paul Harward family and Craig and Brenda Bybee family all of River-ton; River-ton; and the Shawn and Karen Bybee family of Cedar City. Some of the other out-of-town visitors to this open house for Clive and Thelma were Cobe and Christen Wilken of Ivins, Katie and Scott Chandler and Fred and Rita Heywood of Salt Lake City, Bree and Kacey Ramsay of Cedar Citv. Bybee Campbell and wife and Dennis and Linda White of St. George, Rex and Grace Sandburg of Panguitch; Bob Riding of Kanab; and Gene Quilter and family of Escalante. Many of the local folks in the Bryce Valley area attended also. Shanon Pollock got one last goodbye from family members just a minutes before he flew out of Salt Lake Airport. They included his parents, Vance and Jeannene Pollock Pol-lock and sister Sunny Pollock; grandparents Clare and MaryLee Ramsay and Aflon and Del Rae Pollock; Peggy and Brett Palmer, and Merrilee and McLain Mecham and family. Marian and Malen Mecham enjoyed having Donald and Karma Shakespear and son, Garren, from Bear River City visit over the holiday weekend.
