Show Hatch News By May Sawyer 735-4207 Sometimes my computer and I just don't seem to understand each other, so last week's column didn't make it. I apologize. There have been quite a few reunions this past few weeks. The T. H. Sawyer reunion was held at the town park. May Sawyer and family were in charge. Out-of-town heads of families who were here included Leone and Veota Wooley of Orem, Clifton and Donna Sawyer of Ogden, and JoAnne and Kenny Goulding of Henrieville. Seventy-five family members were in attendance for a very successful event. The M. H. Barnhurst reunion was held at the town park. The Merle and Le Grand Wood family were the hosts. A large crowd was in attendance. The Workman reunion is being held at the George Workman home sight. They will be there most of the week. A large crowd is in attendance. The Huntington-Clove reunion was held at the town park also with many family members in attendance. Pete and Norma Workman of Orem visited family members and friends for a few days. Lynn and Ben Nelson of West Jordan were here over the weekend. Ada Nordell of Washington City came out with Wynn and Shauna Turek. They stayed at the Julia Turek home. Others visiting were Ed and Lola Turek of Las Vegas. Visiting Idonna Deuel were Julia Weise of Bountiful, Dorothy Imlay of Salt Lake City, and La Vera and Neil Olsen and Francis and Elaine Simons of Idaho. Maida (Wilson) Hasen of Washington state visited family and friends for a few days. Karl Lowder was home for a week. His son Jess and family of Goldhill, Ore. brought him down. Visiting them were Mary Beth Schmutz of Washington City, Velta and Seth Lott of Cedar City, Karleta Riggs and family of Panguitch, and Laretta Crofts and girls of Orderville. Jess took his father back to Oregon with them. Visiting Francis and Diann Porter were Ramon and Peggy Porter and girls of Orem and the Dale Porter family. Visiting LaMar and Dorothy Barney were Kenneth and Elaine Barney and family of Roy, Janell Duckett of Page, and Barbara and Dennis Dalton of Las Vegas. Leone and Veota Wooley were here for a week . Visiting them were Jack and Marleene Spencer and two grandchildren, of American Fork. Visiting Clifton and Donna Sawyer were Laurie, Clay, Sam, Tammy and David Sawyer of Ogden, and Roger and Kathy Alexander and family of Ogden. Visiting Estella Riggs and staying at their cabins are Deuard and Donna Riggs and Less and Hene Foote of Salt Lake City. Curtis Wilson of Salt Lake City is here visiting his folks, Calvin and Ruth Wilson. Others visiting are Charolett and Will Lane and family of Page. Keith and Ruth Ainsworth of California are here at their cabins . Russ and Jayce Torgerson and girls went to Price for a week on something to do with education. Cindy Sawyer of Orem, Lynette Bailiff and family of Salt Lake City and Bruce and Paula Wilcox of Payson were here. JoAnne and Kenny Goulding of Henrieville came over . They all had a get together at the Garth Heap home. It was good to see Noreen Evans. Her family brought her out for a couple of days. Visiting were Shirlene Jensen, fiwe.n Crnfts De.lov and JoLene Evans of Hurricane, and Ireta and Rich Tubbs Darol Allred had surgery, for a hip replacement on Monday. He is in the Valley View hospital. Beth Allred and May Sawyer visited him on Monday. Visiting May Sawyer over the weekend were Kurt, Phyllis, Brett, and Colt Sawyer of Mesquite, Nev. |
