Show By Lynn Munson 679-8627 "The hills are alive with the sound of footsteps" was very true last weekend as families headed to the hills for Eastering, a southern Utah annual event. There were almost 50 of the children and grandchildren of the late Vernal Shakeapear and Malen and Marian Mecham doing their Eastering at Tommy cabin on the Wahweap. Some members of all the Shakespear children were here. Granddaughter and husband Pauline and Kurt Robinson have a new baby boy named Tyler. Pauline is a daughter of Roland and Palona Miles. Charlie and Eva Dean Francisco enjoyed their annual Easter Party with their daughters and families. Friends Glenn and Donna Mitsch of Bryce Canyon and Harry and Max-ine Max-ine Ward of Winter Park, Colo, and niece Kelly and Roger Sellers of Salt Lake City were among 21 people at the party. Eva Dean and Sandrea earlier went to Parowan to watch Cheri Ann, daughter of Robin and Sharon Griffin in a dance revue. Grandson William received an academic certificate signed by President William Jefferson Clinton for being an outstanding student. His parents are Lloyd and Helena Mortenson of Monroe. All but two families of Clive and Thelma Bybee's 10 children met in St. George for the Easter weekend. A large family group with over 50 members were on hand to enjoy a great get together. Visiting with mother and sister, Margaret and Marjorie Mecham were daughter, Vera Larson, her son, wife and child of Richfield, who spent the weekend. Also daughter Garnet and husband Bob Barton and daughters spent a day. Dixie Shakespear had daughter and son-in-law Betty and Romell Hepworth and their daughter and granddaughter, Nicki and Trevin Hepworth of Panguitch; other daughter Dixie (named for her grandmother) and her husband, Monte Edwards and their three children chil-dren of Enoch and son Chad on hand for Eastering at Kodachrome. Monday, Dixie was visited by Wally and Audrey Scott. Audrey is a daughter of Sid and Frances Leach. Jack and Gaia Greenhalgh spent the weekend with son John in Las -Vegas. He took his parents to Mexico and Lake Havasu for a very enjoyable vacation. Lowell and Margaret Mecham had daughter Shauna and son-in-law Gerald Talbot and granddaughter stay for a week. Margaret's sister and brother-in-law Joan and Bob Winger of Holiday spent Easter here as well. Gail and Bonnie Miles had their daughter and children Joan Stevenson Steven-son of Sandy, Carrie Ferris and KayLynn Miles both of Cedar City home for the weekend. Staying with Ella Adair were granddaughter Montyne and husband, Martin Anderson An-derson and children of Cedar City. They helped clean the yard and trim " the rose bushes for grandma Ella. They all had Easter dinner at Gail and Bonnie's home. |
