Show Welcome Day Planned For Bryce Valley TROPIC Members of the Bryce Valley Business Association have worked the past several weeks to prepare for their First Annual Welcome Day, welcoming local summer tourism workers to the area and familiarizing them with local businesses. The event is planned for Wednesday, May 10 at 9:30 at Bryce Pioneer Village. Reservations Reserva-tions clerks, interpretive rangers, campground hosts and many other employees and owners of businesses busi-nesses along Hwy 12, in Escalante and Boulder, Kanab and Torrey will travel to Tropic for a morning get together. They will be treated to a buttermilk but-termilk pancake breakfast with all the trimmings at which time they will listen to 3 - 4 minute presentations presenta-tions from local business owners. This will be an introduction and get acquainted time to let information providers learn about what accommodations, accom-modations, services and activities are available in the Bryce Valley area. Following breakfast, special shuttles will take groups of 8 - 15 persons on short tours to actually visit properties, check, out bed and breakfasts, see sites and activities that are available to the traveling public. Those attending will have opportunities op-portunities to draw for special door prizes with one lucky attendee winning win-ning the grand prize of two nights lodging, meals and trail rides just for participating. |
