J Bonnie Willis was hostess to ' the following LDS Single Adults at her home for Monday night family home evening: Rella Alvey, Ora Brinkerhoff, Helma ! Haas, Gloria Hayden, Rhoda Shafer, Allison Sudweeks, Janet J Pollock, Helen Willis and Marva J Fletcher. A very pleasant J evening was had by all. A deli- cious dinner was served with homemade stew and hot rolls and a "man-sized" decorated Halloween cookie was presented i to each quest when leaving. ! Jim and Erma Clarke have ', their grandson, Nathan, here vis- I iting them. He is a son of Arthur J and Nannette Clarke of Las J Vegas, Nev. He enjoys hunting j and fishing with his grandfather. The Clarkes also had Cheryl Garrett and her three daughters I of Cedar City visit them on Saturday. She is their daughter. I Tom and Gay Shakespeare J had their son and daughter-in- ; law, Brooke and Heidi J Shakespeare and their precious J twins, Sam and Shianne come from Logan to visit and hunt deer with them. Don and Louise Mangum J joined their son, David Mathews I and his wife, Andrea and their I family at their deep camp and J had lunch and a short visit. On ; (See CANNONVILLE on pg. 6) Cannon ville From Page 5 A Friday evening Don and Louise and Kay Dunham and her family fami-ly had a surprise visit when , Vanola and Phyllis Mangum came from Kearns for an overnight stay with them. Vanola is Don's sister-in-law, the wife of his deceased brother, Marvin Mangum. It was good to spend time with them. Jacob Hammer of Nogales, Ariz, and his fiance, Devon Kuykendall of Midvale were recent overnight guests of A.C. and Rita Hammer. They enjoyed visiting and playing a new DVD game they brought with them. Kay Dunham and her son, Mathew Walker took Lace Walker and her girl friend back to Ephraim for college. She took parents Don and Louise Mangum to Cedar City on Wednesday for medical and eye appointments. Wade Barney was the LDS Stake High Council representative representa-tive at Cannonville LDS meetings meet-ings on Sunday. The youth speakers were Gina Nelson and Shad Stubbs. Marva Fletcher was pleasantly pleasant-ly surprised when Arthur Cox, a young man who had worked at Bryce Canyon Lodge in 1955 brought his wife to visit her. Marva and Laurie Holley ran the post office at Bryce and got acquainted with many of the people who came there for summer sum-mer employment. So many young people. Arthur was probably prob-ably 15-16 years old then. They visited and reminisced of many mutual friends and acquaintances. acquaintanc-es. It was a special experience. Bob and Mira Loy Ott had itheir son, Stacy and his wife, Angie and their four children here for a weekend visit. I Bea Reynolds has Jameson Choate here helping her today. She said he comes about every week and she really appreciates , having his good help. Evelyn Heaton went to Las Vegas, Nev. with her daughter, Kay Shakespeare for visiting and shopping. Linda Britt enjoyed a two-week two-week visit from daughter Kristen McNair and her tiny son Elijah. Linda took them to Las Vegas for their return flight to Indiana where they live. The beautiful warm weather continues and we can't help enjoying it but wonder what will happen to all of us if the rain and snow doesn't come soon. |
