Show By Marva Hetcner .679-8521 Steve and VerJean Clark spent the weekend at the home of their son and daughter-in-law Cary and Cynthia Clark and baby-sat their grandchildren while Cynthia took Cary to the airport where he flew to Boston to spend the next two weeks auditioning for the Utah State Tax Commission. When he returns to Salt Lake he will have a new job at Duke Energy. Mel and Phyllis Beard were in Arjzona again for the annual Robert Burns dinner with Phyllis' mother. This is a Scottish celebration complete com-plete with bagpipes and haggis. They also visited several of their children. Unfortunately Arizona was experiencing winter weather with highs only in the 50' s. Joey and Aloha Mathews and their little son of St. George spent the weekend here visiting parents and grandparents and attended church services here on Sunday. The Bryce Valley Drill Team went to the State 1A Competition in Provo and took a third place. Golden and Roxanna Johnson's daughter Toots Butters came from Ogden to take care of her mother for a few days, then went on to her home in Mesquite. On Groundhog Day, Feb. 2, Golden and Roxanna Johnson were guests of honor at a lovely party held in Ogden to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely banquet, with bouquets bou-quets of roses, wonderful food and a special program. All seven of their children were in attendance, their 12 grandchildren and their 10 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Present also were Golden' s sisters and their husbands: Donald and Dixie Munson, Salt Lake City; Edward and Collette Liddell, Salt Lake City; Roxanna's sister, Katie Morton, Farmington; and brother-in-law Darrell Blackwell of Layton. The family presented their parents with a beautiful grandfather grand-father clock as a special anniversary gift. On Wednesday the Cannonville LDS Ward Relief Society held their Enrichment Night. It was a very pleasant and enjoyable evening for the 16 sisters who were present. Gloria Clark presented the lesson. Ramona Morreale, visiting teacher correlator, spoke followed by several sev-eral sisters who related teaching experiences. |
