Show fintimony Hews By Betty Wiley 624-3215 At the State Drill team in Ogden Kori Willis, daughter of Kaymar and Mary Jean Willis, received an Academic All State Award and made the State Drill Team. She also received re-ceived a $200.00 dance scholarship to be used at a school of her choice. Congratulations Kori! Many basketball fans attended the regional tournaments in Cedar City last weekend. Among those from here attending the games were Pat and Nancy White, Bill and Jane Wiley, Garth, Ken and Valeen Roberts, Van and Betty Wiley, Wayne and Koami Delange, the Leland Robinsons, the Gary Hansens and the Tim Westwoods. Speakers at L.D.S. Sacrament meeting Sunday were Phil and Billie Allen and their three grandchildren grand-children Heather, Bryce and McKay Allen. Tracy Savage is in Cedar City helping with Keith Savage's children chil-dren as their Mom, Ranone had surgery at the Valley View Medical Center. She will bring the three children here on the weekend and back to Cedar the first of the week. Tim and Holly Westwood had their baby daughter, Whitney, blessed and named two weeks ago Families of both Tim and Holly came for the special event. Keith Roberts and his son, Gregg Roberts of Salt Lake are spending the week here with their father and grandfather, Garth Roberts. Jon Katz is expected here this weekend to get the Rockin R Guest Ranch open and ready for the busy season. The Antimony LDS Ward held their Scout Recognition dinner Tuesday evening. The scouts cooked cook-ed the dutch oven chicken and a delicious dinner was served to all. The cancer clinic in Circleville was held on Thursday and it is good to see so many women take advantage advan-tage of this special clinic. The winter flu and colds can't seem to get completely gone as this week Valeen Roberts and Tracy Savage had a turn as well as Ted Jolley. The Piute County Centennial will be held on March 9th at the High School's two gymnasiums for the dinner and the dance. Antimony ladies quilted one of the five quilts to be auctioned off that night to the highest bidder. The Homemaking meeting for the Relief Society will be held on Wednesday evening, March 6 at 7 p.m. with a lesson and a demonstration demonstra-tion in making taffy by Mona Black and Reba Gleave. |
