Show Piute Centennial Set For March 9 PIUTE Piute County's Centennial Committee is proud to present Piute's Centennial Ball & Gala, "Through the Years," scheduled for March 9. 1996. This event will transport participants back in time as it provides entertainment and history through the years. Ball-goers will not only dance to popular music, but will have opportunities to dance to tunes and do steps from years past. Because this is a "Once in a Lifetime Event," special "once in a hundred years" permission has been granted to hold the Ball & Gala in both the high school's new and old gymnasiums to accommodate everyone. However, unless adequate protection can be found, dancers will be asked to either remove their shoes or wear shoe covers to protect the gym floor. Besides the fun of dancing, participants will be entertained all evening by floor shows featuring dancing by the Piute Thunderettes, singing, patriotic flag numbers and music by many different local groups and citizens. Instrumental groups slated to perform will include the "Back Country Band," the Piute High School band, as well as the "Golden Glow Orchestra," a four-piece band that plays music popular at the turn of the century. Vocalists will include April Milieu, Piute County Queen, Jimmy & (See Piute Centennial Ball Is Set For Saturday, March 9, Page 2A) Piute Centennial Set For March 9 (From Page 1) Than Cooper, the Kitchen Kuties and choruses from the high school and various communities.
