Show Pqnguitch Hews By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The bitter cold days this past week kept many of us in the house. If you absolutely had to go out, the heavy winter coats you probably haven't used much yet felt good. Merle and Pauline Prince went to Texas to spend time with one of their kids families. Great-grandma Mamie Talbot got word of a new baby girl, Emma, born to Dana and Jen Williams in Salt Lake City. Dennis and Karen Talbot Williams are one set of grandparents. Kent and Donna Osborn have a pretty tan house moved in and being be-ing set next to the Jacketta Goodin home. Justin and Daisy Miller have moved into the little Monte MarshallAnne Mar-shallAnne Excell house. The Barnhurst sisters were living there but have moved to their refurbished house in Hatch. Robert and Becky Mack have a big garage nearly finished next to their house on the south end of town. One of the babies who were blessed on Feb. 7 was Ashley Hope, daughter of Robert and Kim-berly Kim-berly Julander. She was blessed by her father in Panguitch 4th LDS Ward Sacrament meeting. Her grandparents are Paul and Laura Julander. Her great-grandmother Golda Julander. The Nielsen grandparents grand-parents and other relatives were here from Oak City. Maya Jean Savage, daughter of Jon and Christy Orton Savage, was blessed by her father in Panguitch 2nd LDS Ward meeting. Her grandparents are Denny and Jean Orton and great-grandparents are Alta Orton, Bruce and Vema Owens, David and Judy Savage. Kadee Fullmer, daughter of Kade and Kim Fullmer, was blessed by her father in Panguitch 3rd Ward LDS meeting. Her grandparents here are the Bruce and Diane Full-mes. Full-mes. Relatives from Circleville and other towns were here. Takala Tebbs, daughter of Matt and Sherideth Tebbs, was blessed by her father in the Panguitch LDS 3rd Ward. Her grandparents are Mike and Margaret Tebbs, Philip and the late Shirleen Blais. We got to see many friends who were in town for these blessings. Panguitch Cornelia and' Loy-hova Loy-hova DUP camps held their meetings meet-ings in the library Feb.. 9 and IQ,;.. Carol Dodds gave Joseph L. Hey-wood Hey-wood history written by Kathryn Henrie Ipson. Pearl Walker gave the lesson, "History of Piute County." The Arlin Proctors of Cen-terville, Cen-terville, spent the weekend with his folks, the Jay Proctors. They en-, joyed ice fishing at Panguitch Lake and had very good luck. Ronal and Shanna Rae Proctor Young and her dad Tom Proctor were here visiting family last week. Tom is living with the Youngs in Nevada. Clark and Gwen Frandsen and his mother Allie Frandsen went to Salt Lake City to the funeral of Allies brother-in-law Tracy Reynolds. Rey-nolds. Allie stayed there with her sister Lillis for a while. Bruce Fullmer was taken north for medical treatment. Kay Hey- wood had by-pass surgery. Vermon Barney had surgery in Salt Lake City and is home again. Vaughn and Lenore Heaton have been in Richfield for two weeks helping Lenore's sister Ona and Alf Crofts. Ona was in the hospital with pneumonia. Jessie Willis has been in the local lo-cal hospital. There is a lot of flu going around. Gaylene Burdick had surgery on her foot in Salt Lake City. Roberta Irish went through the Dallas LDS Temple with her daughter Christy, husband John Gann and their two year-old son Treven. Troy Henrie and his wife have been here visiting his parents Allen and Jeannie Henrie. Mary Perkins went with her grandson Curtis and family to visit her sisters Kurtie Riggs and Julia who is not well. Nellie has moved to Denver, Colo, to help care for her son who is suffering from muscular mus-cular dystrophy. Greg and Claudia Payne had a granddaughter and her parents visiting visit-ing them. In Panguitch LDS 1st Ward meeting on Sunday, Karla Owens and Jon Torgerson were Stake visitors. visi-tors. Also, all of the Stake Presidency Presi-dency including Shannon Allen, Joe Black and Nick Reynolds visited. Mary Henrie's son John N. and wife Caroline Henrie have moved into their new home in St. George. They built the home before leaving on their mission to Vietnam. Now that Caroline has retired from teaching teach-ing at Brigham Young University, they can both retire for good. Dr. Terry Henrie attended a successful suc-cessful surgery for his brother Don Henrie. Larry Mrvicka was sustained a councelor to LDS Bishop Evan Boshell. His mother and a friend came from St. George to Sacrament meeting and for the first time, he conducted the meeting. Larry and wife Linda were surprised and delighted. de-lighted. Camille Moore flew to Australia Austra-lia to care for her sister and new baby. Husband Gaylen Moore flew over and came home with her. Marjorie Oetting, Mack's mother, is recuperating at the local Care Center. He and wife Pat went to see her where she was living and . brought her home. . ) ,"" Douglas Davis was here visiting his mother Gwen at the Care Center. Cen-ter. Sheri Miller took Joann and Allen Al-len Miller to Washington for graveside grave-side service's for new born grandson Riley Bruce, born to daughter of Liz and the late Bruce Barney's daughter Mary Jo and Ron Scott. He was Liz's first grandchild. Robert and Lynell Brinkerhoff Barney have a new daughter. Grandparents are Kendell and Marilyn Mar-ilyn Brinkerhoff and Miles and Esther Es-ther Barney. Sustained to callings in the Panguitch LDS 1st Ward were Claudia Payne, Relief Society councelor; Greg Payne.Ward clerk; and Robb Veater Stake President of YMMIA. John Gillette, Elders Quorum, councelor, Calvin Poll, High Priest Leader, Joe Decker and Joe Nay, assistants. In Panguitch 1st Ward, Rick Irish was ordained a priest. Native Hazel Worthen Rich and Nick Salanti were married Jan. 23 in Las Vegas, Nev. Randy and Nancy Houston and family, Ken and Randi Miller and most of Hazel's Ha-zel's Worthen brothers and sisters and Herb and Noreen Allen were present. Visiting Norma Talbot on Feb. 6. were Tom and Maxine Talbot from Greenwich and their kids: Bret and Michelle and two children, Heidi Madson, Payson, Gerald and Shawna and two children from Payson and Lacee Talbot and two friends. Norma said they brought all their food so she didn't have to fix anything. It was so good to see all of Tom's family. Bennett and Alfeld Josie have moved to Tabiona where his parents lived. |
